Life Fiber 1.0.0 - rollback netplay for KILL la KILL -IF
==========================================================

INSTALL
Copy dinput8.dll into the game folder (the folder with KILLlaKILL_IF.exe).
Steam: right-click the game > Manage > Browse local files.
Uninstall: delete dinput8.dll from that folder.
Updating from 0.1.x (the "rollback netplay mod"): just replace dinput8.dll. Your settings move from
klkrb_net.ini to lifefiber.ini by themselves on the first start.

STEAM DECK / LINUX (Proton)
Proton uses its own dinput8.dll unless told otherwise, so the game needs a launch option. In Steam:
the game's Properties > General > Launch Options, enter:
    WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8=n,b" %command%
Then copy dinput8.dll into the game folder as above (on a Steam Deck, in Desktop Mode: Steam > the game >
Manage > Browse local files). If the title screen doesn't show "Life Fiber" at the bottom, the launch
  option is missing or mistyped.
On the Deck the panel opens with View + Menu (Select + Start). On a new install Life Fiber picks lighter
graphics settings for the Deck by itself (Settings > Graphics > Detect best settings repeats it).

UPDATES
Life Fiber checks its website (lifefiber.link) for a new version when the game starts. When there is one, the
title screen and the panel say so: "Update and restart" downloads it, checks it and restarts the game with it.
Settings > About shows the version and links to the website. lifefiber.ini [update] check=0 turns the check off.

PLAY
Open the Life Fiber panel with F1 or Select + Start, then pick Quick Match or Direct Match.
Quick Match: the public room. Save your character once, then challenge anyone in the room (or get
challenged): set your input delay and press Ready. Matches use the default rules on a random stage.
Direct Match: one player hosts and gives the 6-letter code to the other, who joins with it.
Both players must use this exact release: the panel's title shows "Life Fiber 1.0.0+dbcc3ff3".
Players with a different version cannot connect to each other.
To watch a match, enter its code and press Spectate: you see the session from its first match.

SETTINGS
The game's Options (I / Y on the main menu and the character select) opens Life Fiber's settings menu:
the game's own options (sound, subtitles, voice language, button config) and Life Fiber's (display,
graphics, netplay, mods) in tabs. LB / RB (keyboard Q / N) change tabs.

CONTENT MODS
Put each content mod in its own folder inside the game's "Mods" folder (Life Fiber creates it on first start),
laid out like ResourceWin; only the files it changes are needed. A mod that ships a whole ResourceWin folder can
go in as it is (Mods\MyMod\ResourceWin\...). Choose it in Settings > Mods, then restart.
The title screen shows the Life Fiber version and the content loaded. Netplay matches only start between
players with the same gameplay content; the lobby says when it differs (looks-only mods are fine).
Battles saved while a mod is loaded are kept in "Mods-Replays\<mod folder>" (next to Mods), not with the
game's own replays, and show in the Gallery whenever that mod is loaded.

LICENSES
Life Fiber is free software under the MIT License. It includes Dear ImGui, GekkoNet, zpp_bits, SMAA and two
fonts under their own licenses: see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt, or Settings > About > Licenses in the game.

REPORTING PROBLEMS (desyncs, crashes, freezes)
Life Fiber writes its logs to the "lifefiber-logs" folder in the game folder:
lifefiber.log the latest run (older runs: lifefiber_<date>_<time>.log)
<date>_<time>_<code>_m<NN>_inputs.krin each netplay match (replayable recording)
<date>_<time>_<code>_m<NN>_desync_f<F>.bin game state at the first desynced frame
crash_<date>_<time>.dmp crash dump (with the log of the same date and time)
Please send the whole lifefiber-logs folder (zip it), from BOTH players if it was a desync,
with the match code and roughly when it happened.
